I am going to Raleigh the weekend of Jan. 7th, for several reasons. Mainly to ride bikes, but my dad thinks i'm coming just to do Christmas, what a nice boy..... and my GF has a party... JC, we still on for some saturday afternoon riding? and who else is going from the coast?

I'm up for the afternoon on the Demo. Might bring the XC bike and hit New Light or Beaver Dam before lunch. Bruce is ready to roll when I saw him on Monday.

Everything's a GO on my end. I'll post directions to a meeting place as we get closer to that date. It'll be somewhere in Cary near Harrison Ave exit of I-40 (exit 287). Time will likely be 12:30-1:00. Looking forward to it.

Sounds good J.C.
I'm there as long as it's not raining/snowing that day.

Tuned up the Demo tonight and threw it on the scale. All stock parts on the bike minus pedals where I have installed the Mallets. I was very surprised to see the bike under 40lbs. If I switched to tubeless she would be under 39 lbs. This weight was prior to cutting an inch off the seat post FWIW.

Alright J. C.- Everything looks good for Sat including the weather. A couple of us are going up Sat morning and meeting at the McDonalds, exit 287, at 0930 to go ride some XC with Jason. A couple other guys, including Ninja I believe, will meet you at exit 287 (how about McDonalds for an easy landmark?) at 1230-1300. If this works for you, I'll pass the word to the other guys coming from the beach.
As of yesterday we have six guys coming. I'm bringing my balls (and my GoPro) and will try and leave the sand at the beach so I have no excuses. I'm stoked.
My # is 910-545-7468 in case anything comes up.

Weather should be perfect! Just sent a PM to you and Ninja. Pass it on to anyone else coming up. We should have plenty of cameras rolling, so we'll post a video when it's all done.

Do you know what XC you are going to ride? There are some trails right near 287 (only 1 number off) that are pretty fun and I might try to catch up with sometime during the morning if that is where you are riding.
